Why I Love This Recipe

When I was a teenager, my house was the hang-out house on Sunday nights. I would make pizza for everybody and my friend Gwendy made these awesome brownies. They are ooey gooey and everything that's right and good about brownies. They would be exceptional in the Edge Brownie Pan. Enjoy!

Ingredients You'll Need

14 oz bag soft caramels (like Kraft), unwrapped
2/3 C evaporated milk
1 box german chocolate cake mix
3/4 C melted butter
6 oz bag chocolate chips

Directions

Combine caramels and 1/3 C evaporated milk over low heat stirring constantly until melted. Keep warm (you can use microwave).

Grease and flour a 13x9 pan.

Combine cake mix, butter, and remaining 1/3 evaporated milk. Stir by hand until moist.

Press half the dough into pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 6 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Spread caramel mixture over top. Cover with remaining dough. Bake 15-20 minutes until set. Allow to cool before serving.
