Why I Love This Recipe

My mom has made this dip since I was little and it's always a big hit. We have to make two so that we have one at home and one for a party. It goes fast. It takes a while to prep so we always do it a day ahead. Make sure to drain the beef good or it will seperate once cold and make it look horrible.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 lb. ground beef/ or ground Turkey
1 1/2 containers of sour cream (16 oz containers)
1 1/2 packages cream cheese (do not substitue lite here, come out to watery)
2 tomatoes diced
shredded lettuce (use as much or little as you like)
1 package shredded mexican cheese (use as much or as little as you like)
1 jar medium/hot salsa
1 packet of taco seasonings

Directions

Cook ground beef and drain.

Refrigerate for 2 hours or more.

In a bowl mix sour cream with soft cream cheese.

Add taco seasonings and mix well.

Take out ground beef and mix in salsa.

Layer cream cheese mixture on bottom of cake pan or foil pan.

Next layer ground beef and salsa mixture.

Sprinkle cheese, tomatoes and lettuce.

Refrigerate until ready to serve with tortilla chips.
