Questions, Comments & Reviews

Oh, and I used a cup of olive oil instead of shortening. Worked just fine.

Made this for dinner tonight for the child that doesn't like fish (the rest of us had baked cod). I made two chops so we could all try it, however, and it was great. This recipe is super easy and it is true comfort food. Authentic, yummy southern cooking at its finest. A+ recipe! :)

This is a delicious recipe. If what you're looking for is home cooking southern food (which I'm always looking for) then this is the recipe for you.

Just wondering, Do you really need to use that much oil? I'm making them tomorrow.
